"Time Machine" tells the story of Bernard's attempt to leave home to get away from his mother. So the Idiot Genius buys the book "How To Build a Time Machine" and builds his own time travel machine. Yes, A Real Time Machine! He sets it for the year 3005. However, as always, he screws things up and lands in the year 65 Million BC! Right in the lap of a hungry T-Rex.
