For people who have an interest in Animation, this is what we use to produce our Animated Music Cartoon Videos.

Tascam Portastudio 488MKII 8 Track Analogue Recorder
DigiTech Studio S100 Sound Processor
Polderbits 4.0 Digital Sound Recorder
Yamaha DX-7 Synthesizer

It takes us about 3 months to produce a 3 minute Music Cartoon Video
Step One ... Tom writes a song on his guitar and then it will be re-written over a months time until we both find it funny. Then he records the song on the Polderbits two track recorder (voice on left channel, guitar on right channel) and Emails it to John.
Step Two ... John copies the song onto the 8 Track Tascam's first two tracks. Then adds Drums, Bass, Piano, and other instruments using the DX-7 Synthesizer onto the next 6 Tracks. Then the entire 8 Tracks are mixed down through the S100 Sound Processor to the Polderbits 2 Track Recorder. This process takes about 2 weeks.
Step Three ... John starts the Animation for the song using the MOHO Animation Software one segment at a time. The Song is put on the Sound Track of the ULEAD Video Studio and the Animation Segments are syncronized with the song. All Special Effects are added in the ULEAD Studio. This process takes about 6 weeks.
Step Four ... When the Animation , Song and Special Effects are finished then the Titles are added through the ULEAD Studio. Then the entire project is rendered down with a Compression System so that the Music Video will play faster on the Internet.
